A frustrating night in Devizes

Devizes Town 2 Cherries 0

Although these were two very well match teams.  The first half played out without score, but plenty of opportunities at both ends.  The second half started before The Cherries were ready it seemed.  A mix up in defence allowed the ball to fall to the home forward who lobbed Theo Crane to open the scoring.   Within five minutes the home side added a second goal.   The remainder of the half was again quite evenly matched and later in the half Stur took quite a hold on the game and created a fair few opportunities.  But time played out and The Cherries just couldn’t find a way through.    We look forward to the reverse fixture in March.

Man of the match awarded to Ben Knight
