3/3 for the reserves

Bere Regis 1 Stur Reserves 2

Looking to add to their two wins from their first two games, the reserves headed to Bere Regis. That didn’t start especially well with the home side taking the lead after 10 minutes.

Shortly after though they had a player sent off, apparently for violent conduct, so Stur reserves had the task of playing against 10 men, which many a senior manager has found to be a banana skin even at the highest level!

Just before half time though the pressure paid off as a Neil Sweatman cross was converted by Kieran Ball to level the scores at 1-1. [apparently it was a tap in, but they all count]

Following a well contested second half and a flurry of substitutions, Callum’s lads patience was rewarded with a second and winning goal when young Fin Welch set up Charlie Garrod to maintain their winning record.

Player of the match awarded to Fin Welch – well done!

Next week we are at home to Mudeford Mens. Can we make it four wins out of four? Come along and support the reserves at the We Heat South Stadium on Saturday, 3pm kick off.
