Cadbury Heath 1 Stur 0

An goal given away by The Cherries in the first minute did nothing to help their cause on this soggy afternoon.

After around ten minutes a game of football broke out and things evened up a bit.  A faced paced half finished at 1-0 to the home side.  The second half saw a good strong start for Stur as they pushed for an equaliser, and continued to battle hard to get something out of the game. Then 83 minutes in a Cadbury Heath forward was brought down in the box and the referee duly pointed to the spot. We got lucky as the resulting spot kick rifled off the crossbar.   With 90 minutes almost up, a red card was shown to a home player for his second yellow card offence, but despite over five minutes of time added on, the visitors just couldn’t get past the resolute defence.
