Solid

Sturminster Newton United 1  Bitton 1

Looking for a solid performance against Bitton, and that’s what we got.  The first half went well with a number of chances created by both sides, but nothing to break the deadlock and the teams went in goal-less at half time.   The second half started well and just five minutes after the break, Billy Bright leapt high to meet a cross and the net rippled as Stur took the lead.  They kept the lead for 15 minutes, but Bitton managed to grab an equaliser on 65 minutes.  Despite the best efforts of both teams, neither could break the deadlock and it ended all square at 1-1.

Man of the match was Billy Bright
